A. M. Weaver – Photojournalist, US
A.M. Weaver’s extensive work in art journalism has relied heavily on interviewing techniques with artists. During this residency, Weaver will interview the artists individually and in round table discussions to understand and record their aesthetic ideology. She will document group interactions and exchanges. Weaver is thrilled to be working with this year’s artists as the experience will allow her to document how each uses the lathe, wood working techniques and other practices to convey complex ideas and build bridges between craft and sculpture.

Hi A.M.,
Let me know the next time you plan to visit the ITErs.
Albert
Well, I am attending the NEA International Visual Arts Institute and the pace here is rapid, to say the least. We have traveled throughout DC and Philadelphia. Tomorrow there is a trip planned to the Visionary Museum and the Baltimore Museum of Art. I know you are wondering exactly what we do at the Institute. Well, we visit museums and galleries, take copious notes and complete writing assignments on our experiences. There are twenty-four of us the group, with writers from the Phillipines, Bosnia, Egypt, Indonesia, Columbia and Venezula. Moreon this in days to come.
I have forgotten my work with the ITE Residency in Philadelphia. I look forward to spending time with all of you during the July 4th weekend. Until then, I will drop a line and visit the ITE blg site. Take Care!
