Jerome

Jerome Blanc – Artist, Switzerland
After training as a cabinet maker in Geneva, Jerome Blanc discovered woodturning in 2000 in Australia. His work is based in constant dialogue with materials yielding creations that ally aesthetics with technical difficulty, resulting in a stripped and elegant designs. The ITE residency appeals to Jerome as a means of working in radically different ways, free from his daily routines. He hopes to open new horizons of human and professional experience, while experiencing great joy and motivation.

  1. Hi Jerome,

I thoroughly enjoyed our ITE conversation today. Your “Boxed” work is very exciting. It will be interesting to see what else you create during your residency interacting with your fellow artists.

I viewed your DVD. It is very well done and informative. Your very traditional wood transporter is so European and a welcomed site compared to American methods. It was entertaining to see you, Rudiger Marquarding and Peter Hromek working and producing beautiful work.

  2. Hello Jerome:
I really like your work and would be interested in knowing about the finishes and materials you are using in these pieces. I am a friend of Robert Lyon. Please say hello for me to him.
    Regards,
    Gary Dickey
