Terry E. Johnson - Photojournalist, US
After years of reporting news, Johnson’s current interests lie in how people creatively respond to historic circumstances and the challenges of modernity. Through this residency program, he will interview the ITE residents and help the artists express themselves differently through essays and poetry.
Johnson will utilize video and tape recordings to document interviews and interactions with the artists and their respective working processes.

Hi Terry,
Thank you for telling me about your energizing experience seeing artists at work especially turning on the lathe. The ITE artists were excited about your “jazzed up” reaction and wanting to experience wood spinning against a tool in your hand.
I look forward to reading your interviews and seeing your photographs and film documenting the ITE experience.
Albert
Terry,
Let me know when you plan to try your hand at wood turning. I would enjoy seeing one of your fellow artists teaching you how to shape a piece of wood on the lathe.
